Description
CE-Compliant Fusion Hot Plate
These fusion hot plates provide a very simple, easy to use way of manually butt welding HDPE pipework up to 160mm in diameter. Butt welding is the easiest jointing method, requiring no additional components or complicated machinery. A green light indicates when the hot plate has reached the appropriate temperature for welding, the two ends of the pipe are held against the hot plate and forced together. Butt welding provides permanent, leak-free joints – though the process must be carried out accurately and precisely and the pipes should be clean and square cut to ensure the most professional, reliable joint.
