We have a selection of wood chippers available for hire nationwide. Our garden shredders have powerful motors and 7 inch hardened blades, capable of chipping branches, twigs, and other garden materials. As you feed in materials through the large hopper, they are shredded into small pieces and are then ejected via the output funnel. The chips can then be used for compost or disposed of quickly and easily. These tree chippers are ideal for commercial and industrial applications, suitable for garden clearing, tree surgery, landscaping, construction, and more.
We have 2 types of wood chippers available. The heavy duty wood chipper can shred branches of up to 75mm thick and has a maximum throughput of 0.75 tonnes per hour. It is a compact and robust garden shredder that is easy to maintain. The road tow wood chipper is a portable, diesel powered shredder. This chipper can shred materials of up to 160mm thick into 18mm chips, and it has a massive throughput of up to 5 tonnes per hour.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you hire a wood chipper UK?
Yes, you can! We have a range of wood chippers available for hire. You can book them easily through our website.
What is the difference between a wood chipper and a wood shredder?
A wood chipper is specially designed for handling larger branches or larger pieces of wood and “chipping” them down into small bits. A shredder pulls apart material, leaving it in a state where it is ready for compost.
How big of a branch can you put in a wood chipper?
This will depend on the wood chipper you use. Our diesel road tow wood chipper has a maximum diameter feed of 6.3”.
How much is a wood chipper?
The price can vary depending on the wood chipper. You can expect to pay as low as £150 a week for our heavy duty wood chipper!
What can you not put in a wood chipper?
We don’t recommend putting things like manure, pet waste and other squishy materials in your wood chipper as it can be incredibly difficult to clean out.
