Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Training
Course Details
Safe working environments are a fundamental right and essential for all workers. Emergency First Aid at Work training equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to reduce the risks of a workplace. It teaches you how to react to and manage incidents and gives you the confidence to deal with emergencies.
This Emergency First Aid at Work course is for everyone. It is a practical and engaging session that employs a range of teaching and learning techniques. The course is suitable for anyone who works in an area where a first aider is required, including low-hazard to high-risk environments. Delegates must be aged 16+. No previous training is required.
We hold all courses at one of our cooperating training centres. However, we can provide this training at your premises or on-site for larger groups.
Agenda
- The aims & principles of first aid.
- Recording accidents and incidents.
- Contents of first aid kits.
- Incident management.
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty.
- Resuscitating an adult.
- Management of a choking casualty.
- Controlling minor bleeding.
- Recognition & treatment of shock.
- Recognition & treatment of epileptic seizures.
- Treatment of minor burns & scalds.
- CPR.
- Defibrillation.
Assessment
Trainees are assessed by continuous observation throughout the day and demonstration of knowledge required.
Duration
Emergency First Aid at Work training is a 1 day course.
Certification
Upon course completion, successful candidates will receive a One Stop Safety Training certificate. The certificate is valid for 3 years.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
Hire Shield is included in every booking. The charge is calculated at checkout.
