110v Cement Mixer Hire

Professional standard electric concrete mixers

We have 110v electric cement mixers available for hire nationwide. Our concrete mixers are industry standard pieces of equipment, renowned for being robust, reliable and high quality machines. These electric cement mixers allow you to mix high volumes of concrete quickly and easily. They feature an extra thick 130 litre drum with efficient and durable mixing paddles. They have a heavy-duty sealed cast gearbox for longer life and full thermal overload protection. When you book a cement mixer hire, it will come with a tipping stand included as standard. The stand allows you to operate the mixer at an elevated height, tip the concrete into a wheelbarrow and transport it wherever it is needed. With a mix capacity of 90 litres, these concrete mixers provide the fastest, most efficient and most reliable way of mixing cement and concrete for a range of different jobs at home or on site. These 110v electric mixers are ideal for use on site. We supply these mixers with a 3kVA transformer and you can also add a 14m extension lead to your order during checkout if required. You can book a concrete mixer hire online or over the phone with our hire team. Once you have booked a cement mixer hire, you can collect from your nearest store at the start of the hire or we can deliver to you.

We also have 240v cement mixer hire available (for home use), as well as petrol cement mixer hire.

Reviews

very clean mixer at a very fair price!

I don't know if they are all like this, but the mixer that was delivered was nearly brand-new and wasn't covered in old concrete. I found the tip-stand to be very useful. Overall the price including delivery was incredibly cheap compared to the other hire depots I called.

Concrete Mixer Hire - 240v

We booked a week long hire of a concrete mixer for some home DIY patio building and laying some paving slabs. My husband found the mixer to be very useful and the price for the concrete mixer hire was cheaper than we had found elsewhere with delivery to our house.

FAQ

Do I need a transformer for a 110v cement mixer?

110v cement mixers are designed for safety on site, and they do require a transformer if you want to use one at home, or using a 230v power supply. You can hire 3kVA transformers from us as an optional extra when you book 110v equipment.

How do you use a cement mixer?

Place the mixer on a firm, level surface. Pour approximately one gallon of water into the drum. Make sure that you use the correct amount of water for the cement mix, as outlined in the instructions. Too much water will make the cement mix too thin and unmanageable. Not enough water will make the concrete too thick and it will not combine thoroughly. Next, pour the cement mix into the drum, plug the mixer in and turn it on. Allow the machine to fully mix the contents and ensure that there is no visible powder left. Leave the cement mixer running for as long as you need it to keep the contents moist and manageable. When the contents are fully mixed, turn the machine off and slowly tilt the drum to pour the fresh cement out.

What is the best way to clean a cement mixer?

You can clean a cement mixer thoroughly using a stiff brush or a mix of 1 inch (2½cm) gravel and water. This clears the drum out to prevent any residue from hardening inside it.

What concrete mix should I use?

You can use a range of different concrete and mortar mixes for all different jobs. General purpose concrete is made up of 1 part cement, 2 parts sand, and 3 parts coarse aggregate. This concrete is suitable for most purposes, but not for foundations or paving. Standard mortar is made up of 1 part cement, 5 parts soft sand, with 1 part lime or plasticiser optional. This mortar is used for sheltered bricklaying, rendering, and more. These are just 2 standard mixes, and many more proportions can be used for different applications.
